Marilyn "Jean" Teahan, 84 of Boynton Beach passed away on November 28, 2012. Jean raised 3 boys as a single mom with grace & dignity. Her death was hours before the loss of her eldest son Joseph. Both lost their battle with cancer. She was a woman of faith, and set an example to all who knew her. Whether she was hot air ballooning or river rafting in the southwest or diving with the manatees in 30 degree weather in Florida, at the ripe young age of 82, Jean was always up for trying something new. Jean was a nurse for Dr. Bourque and Dr. Dawsey for over 20 years and in that same time period taught Lamaze class to hundreds throughout Palm Beach County. Up until recently she worked for Sickle Cell helping to educate organizations on the intricacies of this often misunderstood disease. Jean's love for the water was only surpassed by her rock solid unwavering faith in God and service to others. She leaves behind 2 sons Michael of Jupiter and Matt of Denver, CO; daughter in law Maria Teahan of Jupiter and her granddaughter Caitlin. A Funeral Mass celebrating Jean’s life will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, 11AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10935 S. Military Trail, Boynton Beach. Interment will follow at the Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
