Dr. Alfred H. Kennemer, Sr., 84 of Delray Beach, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2014. Dr. Kennemer served in Korea with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He and his wife, Judy moved to Delray in 1967. Dr. Kennemer practiced medicine at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. He loved spending time with family and friends sailing, fishing, playing golf and summers in Maine. He was a lifelong learner, ever curious about any and every thing. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Phelan, son, Hop Kennemer and his wife, Ingrid; five grandchildren, Julia Phelan, Mallory Sims, JR Sims, Hopkins Kennemer and Lacey Kennemer. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Judy on August 30, 2014, daughter, Lou Kennemer Sims and grandson, Cameron Phelan. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 1:00PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 188 S. Swinton Ave. Delray Beach, FL 33444.
