Anthony G. Piels, 71, of Palm Beach County, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 after a tough fight battle with leukemia. Tony was surrounded by his siblings and friends up to the end. Anthony (Tony) was born on May 19, 1950 to Anthony Piels and Josephine Yakstis Piels in Pittsburgh, PA. After Anthony graduated from Carrick High School in 1968, he went on to the Marine Corps enlisting that summer after graduation. After being honorably discharged after his stint with the Marines, Tony moved to Florida and became a fulltime resident. He was a journeyman in the Florida Elevator Union IUEC Local #71.

In 1983, Tony met Jean Daniels in Lauderhill, FL. Tony and Jean went on to have 2 children, Anthony R. Piels and Rachel B. Piels. In 2015, Tony retired and spent his time fishing, cooking and rooting for his Pittsburgh Steelers with his best friends.

Tony was predeceased by Father Anthony, Mother Josephine, Wife Jean, and Daughter Rachel. He is survived by Son Anthony Piels, Sister Barbara Piels, Brother Richard Piels and many friends who loved him dearly.

Tony will have a viewing at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 6:00 PM funeral service. Burial with Military Honors will be held at South Florida National Cemetery on March 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM (Lane #3).
