Antonio M. "Tony" Araujo, 83, of Delray Beach passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on May 11, 2019. He was born in Seekonk, Massachusetts, the son of the late Antonio R. and Louise Araujo.

Tony retired from the military after twenty-two years of service: he was a Marine for ten years and in the Air Force for twelve years.  He also worked for G.E. for twenty-five years.  He was an active member of his community.

Tony is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Linda and her husband Daniel Brennan of Auburn, New York and his son Joseph Araujo of California.  His daughters Lori Moore and Lisa Lape predeceased him. Tony is also survived by his stepdaughter Lynne and her husband Patrick Hayes of West Palm Beach, Florida and his stepson Paul Darling of Seekonk, Massachusetts.  Mr. Araujo leaves behind seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nephews. He is also survived by his brother Robert Araujo of Seekonk, Massachusetts.  His brothers William ("Bill") and James ("Jimmy") predeceased him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2019, 11:00 AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach, FL 33483. Burial services with military honors will be held at 1:15 PM Lane 3 at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7/441, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
