Barbara Bush Clifford of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on August 19, 2026.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Barbara grew up in West Virginia and moved to Boynton Beach from Ohio in 1970. She taught elementary school in Ohio, and in Lake Worth and Boynton Beach. After retirement from teaching, she worked at Bethesda Hospital and in the office at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Delray Beach.

Barbara was a tireless advocate for the foster care system, and raised many young children as her own.

She always had such great friends - too many to name here.

She is survived by her children Julia Amato of Smyrna, GA, Marisol Clifford of Jacksonville and Marisol's children Trenton and Spencer Smith. Randy Ann (James) Hardin of Bristol, FL, their children Hollie O'Neal and her children, Eva Ulacia, Fiona, Aliza and Xena Williams, and Randy's son Christopher Hardin, niece Debra (Michael) Emmert and their children Olivia and Cameron and nephew John Galvin and his children Laine and Riley, of Greensboro, NC. Barbara is predeceased by her son Perry DeSantis and her sister Martha Galvin Garriqus.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 11:00 AM at St Paul's Episcopal Church, 188 S. Swinton Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444.
