Barbara Jean McCutchen, 83, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on January 8, 2023.  Bobbie, as she was known by family and friends, was born in Edgefield, South Carolina on February 3, 1939 to the late Beulah & Olin Tyler Strom, Sr.

Bobbie was predeceased by the love of her life, Billie H. McCutchen in 2021.  She is survived by her son, Scott McCutchen and her daughter, Tracey Rossi, son in law, John Rossi and grandchildren, John T. Rossi (JT) and Rachel Rossi.

Bobbie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met.  She was limited in her movement in her later years, but was extremely active throughout her life.  In high school, she played basketball and was a cheerleader.  After she was married, she began playing tennis and became quite good and spent many, many years on the courts around Boca Raton.  Her love of animals drew them to buy a home in Horse Shoe Acres in the early 1990's.  She loved her space in that home and was so happy with her many dogs, horses and cats.  Bobbie's final home together with Bill was in Delray Dunes.  Being a golf course community, she decided to join Bill in his favorite sport and took up golf.  She really enjoyed her time with their friends on the course and while traveling around the country in the RV.  The RV life brought her to her favorite spot in Dillard, GA.  The cabin in Dillard was their happy place.  So many treasured friends were made and memories with the grandchildren and family in Dillard.

Bobbie poured into her family and friends her smile, laugh and love.  She was so proud of her family, always bragging on their achievements or showing pictures whenever she was given a chance.

She was a member of Boca Raton Community Church and remained steady in faith until the end.

A private burial service will be held on Tuesday, January 31 ^st at the South Florida National Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held for Bobbie's family and friends on Tuesday, January 31 ^st at 4pm at Boca Raton Community Church, 470 NW 4 ^th Avenue, Boca Raton, Florida.
