Bea also did puppet shows for churches, parties and schools. She dressed as Mother Goose and made the puppets she used in these shows. Wood carving was a hobby as well as making stained glass windows. Bea and Maynard were founding members of the Zolflo Springs, FL SKP Park as well as Lifetime members of the SKP organization.
Maynard passed away in 1998 and Bea moved to Boca Raton, FL. There she was active in the First Presbyterian Church where she met Mario (Milo) Valsi in 2002 while they were both volunteering. Bea and Milo grew orchids and were members of the Deerfield Beach Orchid Society. They also made stained glass stepping stones for friends. They married in 2013 and lived a very active life until the past few years.
Bea is survived by her loving husband Milo and her children, James (Vicki) Blitz, David (Mickey) Blitz, Robert (Carolyn) Blitz, Carol Holdren, Mary (Victor) Breschini, Mike (Marsha) Blitz and her adopted daughter, Sande (James) Seim Blitz.
