Bessie Irene Artybridge of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Prince George Virginia, and Wilson, North Carolina, died on September 29, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bessie Irene Artybridge, daughter of the late Haywood Comillus Sessoms and Addie Deadmon Sessoms was born February 2, 1945. Bessie married David J.L. Artybridge in August 2, 1970.

Bessie received her early education in the Wilson County public school system of North Carolina. She later went on to receive her MBA from Hawaii Pacific College in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was also an educator in several states, because of her deep devotion and loving support of her husband's military career. Bessie retired from Titmus Optimal, Inc (Zeiss) in 1997. Her family and friends will miss her honesty, her generous giving, and her listening ear.

Bessie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband David Artybridge; daughters: Yvonne Seguignol (Fernando), Yvette "Eve" Archer (Wayne), Crystal Brickhouse (Jeffrey "Bo"), Mona Lisa Parker (Michael); Brother: Randolph Sessoms (June Faye); Sister-in-law: Gloria Sessoms; Cousin: Everett Banks; grandchildren: Shonda, Justin, Shayna, Michael, jr., Kendall, and Jabari. And also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special friends Edith Jones Garnett, Clara Humphrey, Dorothy Jones, and Patsy Patterson McClain.


Friends may call on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue (North Federal Highway), Delray Beach. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014, 11:00AM at the Barwick Road Baptist Church, 500 Barwick Road, Delray Beach with interment to follow at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7 (441), Lake Worth Florida, Lane 1.
