Mrs. Bette Jean (BJ) Wintrich, 89, of Boynton Beach passed away on August 13, 2018.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Herman Peter Wintrich of Boynton Beach; son Daniel Moore of Weston, FL; son Thomas Moore of Boynton Beach; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

BJ grew up in Washington, PA and graduated from Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ.  She served in the United States Navy achieving the rank of Lieutenant.  After moving to Boynton Beach in 1964, she was active in many community charities. She was an avid reader, world traveler, golfer and tennis player.

Friends may call for a viewing on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6 ^th Avenue (North Federal Highway), Delray Beach, FL 33483.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, 11:00 AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 840 George Bush Boulevard, Delray Beach, FL 33483. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery.
