Obituary

Brian Colt Jerome, age 80, passed away peacefully at sunrise on October 27th, 2023.  He was the son of Chauncey S. & Martha S. Jerome.

Brian was born on June 18th, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio which started his lifelong fandom for the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

He attended the Hill School, Pottstown, PA followed by the University of Virginia where during summer school he found his life's passion, economics.  This led to a 40-year run at Bear Stearns & Company.

Brian lived in Cambridge, MA, Hong Kong, Chicago, the North Shore of Boston and finally Boynton Beach, FL.

Brian was an avid reader, a food critic, a fierce debater and is remembered for his booming laugh, charm, and contagious thirst for a long lunch filled with friends, amazing food and French wine.  He was a founding member of the Dunes Club in New Buffalo, MI, a former member of the Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton, MA and Delray Dunes Golf and Country Club in Boynton Beach, FL.  His love affair with golf led to travel around the world.  His favorite place to enjoy a cold Red Stripe was after a round of golf at the Tryall Club in Hanover, Jamaica.

His legacy is his family.  He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Paula, his devoted three children Shane (Mary), Ashley, Camilla (Joshua), four grandchildren who he adored, James, Margot, Isabelle and Lily, his sister Jenny Walcott (Eustis) and numerous brother and sisters-in-law including nieces and nephews who fondly remember him as Uncle Bri.
