Carmela "Cass" De Cecco, 90, of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of Philadelphia and Broomall, PA passed away on July 25, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband Louis in 2016 whom she married June 18, 1944. Survived by her two sons Louis R. (Tish) De Cecco of West Chester PA, Steven N. (Peggy) De Cecco of Green River, WY, sisters Mary Catallo, Lucille Harris, brother Daniel Smaltini, sister Deanna Smaltini, grandchildren Cara (Mike) Debban, Dena De Cecco, Daniel De Cecco and great-granddaughter Darcy Ann Debban.
Carmela was an avid volunteer in her community and church. She and her husband were founding members of the Las Verdes Italian Club. She was an active member of Emmanuel Catholic Church and served as an officer of the Ladies Guild for many years. She enjoyed reading, crafting, crocheting, traveling, and event planning.
To those closest to her, she had a warm personality and fresh wit. She treasured her friendships and was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Carmela was a woman of faith and relied upon God in all of life's circumstances.
A funeral mass for Carmela & Louis will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 15700 South Military Trail, Delray Beach with burial to follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
