Carole Ann Shay Gwynn, 82, of Boynton Beach passed away on January 30, 2022. She was born on March 2, 1939, in Caldwell, NJ, the daughter of John William and Frances Elizabeth Shay formerly of New York, NY.

Carole attended Lincoln Elementary School in Caldwell, NJ and graduated Grover Cleveland High School located in Caldwell, NJ in 1957. She graduated from Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Montclair, NJ in 1959.

She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Essex Fells, NJ. Carole was employed as a secretary at Bell Telephone Laboratories Whippany & Holmdel, NJ from 1959- 1964. In 1964, Carole came to Delray Beach and was employed by First National Bank until 1968. She married Charles B. Gwynn on December 5, 1964. She became a member of First Baptist Church of Delray Beach, Beta Sigma Phi, P.E.O. Sisterhood and Girl Scout.
She taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church and was a member of Bethesda Memorial Hospital Foundation, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Royal Poinciana Garden Club.

Carole is preceded in death by her husband Charles and a son, David K. Gwynn. She is survived by a son Charles J. Gwynn of Boynton Beach, granddaughters Averie J. and Parker S. Gwynn.
