Catherine L. Zenone, formerly of Brentwood, New York passed away peacefully at The Pines at Glens Falls on April 30, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Born November 3, 1928, in Queens New York, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Philomena Satira.  In 1954 she married the love of her life Dominic Zenone and they enjoyed many happy years together until his passing in 1996.  She provided twenty five years of dedicated service to Gem Electric Inc., in Hauppauge, NY,  assisting with their budding computer operations.  After retirement, she and Dominic moved to Florida where she became involved in their community including charity work with the Sons of Italy of Coconut Creek, eventually becoming president of the organization.

Catherine was a bright, vivacious, independent woman who loved to travel, especially to destinations where she could gamble.  She was always impeccably dressed, frequently in something sparkly.  She loved her husband, her children and her large extended family, hosting numerous holidays made extra special by her delectable cooking and baking.  She took great pride in baking a huge array of Christmas cookies to share with family and friends.  Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren, Alex, Elizabeth, Zachary and Catherine and her adorable Matli-Tzu JoyJoy.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Dominic Zenone, brothers Bruno and Joseph Satira, sister-in-law Phylice Satira, daughter Michelle Bavaro and grandson Alexander Brot.  Left to cherish her memory include daughter Cathy (Tom Green) Zenone, son-in-law John (Florence Nolan) Bavaro and grandchildren; Elizabeth, Zachary and Catherine as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the warm staff of The Pines at Glens Falls, who cared for Catherine during her time there.

A committal service and entombment will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:30am at the Boca Raton Mausoleum, 451 SW 4th Avenue, Boca Raton, FL 33432.
