Cecelia G. Sokolowski passed away on January 2, 2013 at JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL. She was born on September 13, 1920 in Jamaica, NY. Cecelia was a long time member of the St. Martha Church Rosary Society and Nassau County Election Board member, both in Uniondale, NY. After relocating to Delray Beach, She joined the Emmanuel Church Ladies Guild and helped take care of the Altar linens for many years. She also served as a member of C.O.P.S. of Palm Beach County. During WWII She volunteered with the American Red Cross as a "Candy Striper " for Jamaica Hospital. Cecelia is predeceased by Joseph, Her husband of 60 years who died on June 2, 2010. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Karen and Larry Kellogg of Tonganoxie, KS. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 Lantana Road, Lantana FL 33462. Entombment will follow at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Lauderdale. LORNE AND SONS FUNERAL HOME in Delray Beach is in charge of arrangements.
