Charles W. Packer, JR., 54, of Delray Beach, Florida, formerly of Winnetka, Illinois, died unexpectedly on August 27, 2012. He was the son of Virginia Packer and Charles W. Packer. In addition to his mother, Virginia of Winnetka, he is survived by his sisters: Bliss Packer of Chicago, Illinois and Juliet Packer of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Chuck went to New Trier High School and was graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He subsequently worked as a realtor and in retail sales. He was an avid sailor and windsurfer, racing out of Wilmette Harbor as a young man. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Christ Episcopal Church, on the Hill, 784 Sheridan Road, Winnetka, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church, 470 Maple Street, Winnetka, Il. 60093.
