Charles Francis Parker, 62, of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of Attleboro, MA died on April 12, 2014. Born in Attleboro, MA on February 24, 1952, Mr. Parker was the son of the late Richard M. and Lillian Trafton Parker. He was educated in the Attleboro School System, graduating in 1970 from Attleboro High School. He went on to study painting at the Swain School of Design in New Bedford where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. He later earned a Masters of Fine Arts from Queens College in Flushing, NY. Mr. Parker enjoyed surfing in his youth around the New England coast and loved taking his sons fishing. In New York City he was part of the Figurative Art Alliance and was known as an accomplished artist. Throughout his life he supported the arts and educational initiatives, having gained a reputation in Delray Beach for his commitment to both. He leaves behind his wife Landia Parker; his two sons, Charles F. Parker Jr. and Richard M. Parker IV. He is also survived by his sister, Ellen L. Parker of Attleboro. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday,April 17th at 2:00PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church (188 S Swinton Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444). Burial will follow at the Delray Beach Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to American Heritage School of Delray Beach (6200 Linton Blvd., Delray Beach, FL 33484) or The American Heart Association.
