Dale Thomas Hussey, 77, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on May 12, 2025 at JFK North Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida following a period of declining health.

Born on May 16,1947 he was the son of Frank and Muriel Hussey. He was a 1965 graduate of Rockland District High School in Rockland, Maine. Following high school, he enlisted in the Army serving in the Vietnam War from 1970 until 1973 as a communication specialist. Upon his honorable discharge he worked for many years as manager of Ace Hardware in Delray Beach, Florida until his retirement several years ago.

Dale was a high spirited, lighthearted soul and a friend to all with a generous heart. He was a skilled woodworker, plumber, and all-around craftsman. Dale was predeceased by his wife of many years, Beth Hussey. He is survived by a daughter Shami Williams of Bristol, Maine, grandsons Travis Swanson of Warren, Maine, and Trevor Patterson of Norridgewock, Maine, a son Christopher Hussey of Lake Worth, Florida, his sisters Janet Watkinson, Susan Anderson (Larry), Bonnie Jackson (Ricky), a brother, Gary Hussey (Kay) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was known by many and loved by all. The family is deeply grateful for the friendship and kindness of Pam Schafer, owner of the previous Delray Beach Ace Hardware.

In keeping with Dale's wishes, a military service with honors will be held on October 2, 2025, 12:30PM at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7/441, Lane 1, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
