Dan W. Ward, 78, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 after a brief illness. The youngest of 4 boys, Dan was born at home in Delray Beach just like all his brothers. He attended Seacrest High School, Palm Beach Junior College and the University of Miami. Dan received an Associate's Degree in Arts at Palm Beach Junior College in 1962 and then in 1965, received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. In 1968, He became a Certified Public Accountant and worked at Himes and Himes, CPA Office in Delray Beach. He later started the Dan W. Ward, CPA Office in Delray Beach which today is Herman Clark, CPA Office, owned and operated by his business partner, Herman Clark. Dan is survived by his brothers, Richard F. "Buck" Ward of Delray Beach, Carl D. (Jackie) Ward of Miami; nephews, Joseph "Joe" (Cynthia) Ward of Columbia, SC, James David (Pauline) Ward of Miami, Billy Ward Jr. of California; nieces, Heidi (Ted) Salb of Ocala, Patricia W.(Steve) Miller of Georgia and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Richard & Laura Ward and his brother, Billy Ward. The Ward family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Palm Beach County and their team for their care and compassion.
