Obituary

Dana John Pusateri died Monday ,the 11th day of August 2014, at his Delray Beach home. It was unexpected and too soon to leave his beloved family and his close friends.
Dana was born 24 June 1952, in Warren, Pennsylvania, the son of Samuel and Helen Pusateri. He grew up with his brother Darrell and sister Darlene. Dana attended Slippery Rock University until the spring of 1973. During Spring Break at Ft. Lauderdale he met and fell in love with Elizabeth "Ellie" Blevins and never returned to Pennsylvania except to visit family.
Dana and Ellie were married two years later on 24 May 1975 and raised a son and daughter, Darren and Darnelle, both married with children of their own. Darren lives in Colorado with his wife Kristina and Dana's two grandchildren, Remy and Nico. Darnelle lives in Delray with her husband, Tyler Ross Quinn, and Dana's grandson, Jagger Cole Quinn. Dana also leaves behind his grandniece, Anika Blevins.
Dana and Ellie settled in Delray Beach where Dana finished school and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in business administration and followed that with a physical therapy assistant certification. A respected businessman, Dana ran several physical therapy companies over the past twenty years, the most recent being IntregaCare that Dana and partners started in 2006.
Although gone far too soon, Dana leaves behind a beautiful legacy in the family he and Ellie started. He taught them how to work, to play, to be loyal and to love.
Dana's legacy extends beyond his family. He leaves behind an inheritance rich in the people he met, helped, worked and played with. He engaged people with a whole and kind heart. An incredible giving person, he left a lasting impression on those he came in contact with. His kindness now surrounds his family as all those he touched are reaching out and surrounding his family with his gentle strength and joyful spirit.
In Dana's last year he became a practicing beach bum. His close friend, Diane Sherman was his guide and will likely continue going to the beach on full moon nights to remember.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, 17 August 2014, at the Gardens, 4103 N Military Trail Boca Raton, Florida 33431 where Dana will be entombed beside Ellie.
