Daniel "Danny" Corr, 68, of Lake Worth, FL left us on May 26, 2015 after a long illness. Son of the late John Patrick and Letitia (Roche) Corr, he was raised on the banks of the Silvermine River in Wilton, CT. Dan was predeceased by a brother Lt. John G. Corr USMC. A 1964 graduate of Wilton High School, Dan graduated from Springfield College in 1968 and received his Master's degree from Southern CT State Teacher's College. Dan began his career at Essex Elementary School, Essex, CT teaching PhysEd K-6 and coaching football and girl's track & field at Valley Regional HS, Deep River, CT. After moving to Florida, he joined the Florida Lottery retiring in 2001. A consummate athlete, Dan was a champion of playing by the rules, win or lose, with a good attitude, never backing down from a challenge or excluding anyone regardless of their abilities and knowing you did your best. Danny is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela (Haight), beloved daughter, Samantha (Alberto) Florez, cherished brother, Dr. C. Allan "Muggsy" Corr (Deborah), Sacramento, CA and sister, Letitia (Jay) Kenefic, Bethel, CT, grandchildren, Sarah Jane and Alex Florez, nephews, Jonathan and Andrew Corr, Jack and Jason Faragher and niece Sarah Corr. Friends will gather on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM with a 7:00PM memorial service at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave. (N. Fed Hwy) Delray Beach. Burial will be in Cypress Cemetery in Westbrook, CT at a later date.
