Obituary

Daniel P. Smith, 73, of Boynton Beach passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024.  Dan was originally from Niagara Falls, NY and moved with his parent William and Jennie Smith to Florida in 1957 who proceeded him in death.

Dan is survived by his wife of 49 years Sandy Smith, daughter Erin (Smith) and spouse Charles Fasanati and son Nicholas Smith.  Four grandchildren, Benjamin, Eli, Emily and Matthew Fasanati.  Three Brothers, Sister and their spouses Kenneth & Cathleen Smith, Jerrold & Janine Smith, Richard and Billie Smith and Karen(Smith) Raymond & Paul Raymond.  Nine nieces, nephews & spouses and fifteen great nieces and nephews.

Dan was part of a family owned business called Smith Brother's Film Drop which he opened up with his Dad and later his three brother joined him in the business.  They had three locations in the Boynton Beach area. Dan volunteered in a program that places children in foster care or for adoption known as 4Kids.  Dan also had his radio broadcasting license and back in the day worked at WMUM called the Mother located on Lake Worth Beach, WDBF in Delray Beach and WSHB.  After Dan retired in 2018 he started his hobby of turning wood.  Dan and his wife Sandy have been members of Calvary Chapel Boynton Beach for the last Seventeen years.

Dan was an incredible hard working man always doing the Lords work helping others with what ever they needed.  He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa and Friend, one of a kind that will be greatly missed by so many.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024, 10:00am at Calvary Chapel Church, 3190 Hypoluxo Rd, Boynton Beach, FL.  A Celebration of Life will follow and be held at The Okeechobee Steak House Event Hall, 2854 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL.
