Debra Ann Ross, 56, of Delray Beach, FL entered eternal life in the comfort of her home on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Her courage, faith in God, fervor for life, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her throughout her short, two month battle with stage IV metastatic lung cancer. Despite her own health struggle, she continued to be a voice of strength, positivity, and reason for those surrounding her until the very end of her life.

Debra was born on December 7, 1958 in Providence, Rhode Island. She attended Classical High School, graduating with the class of 1977 and later received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island in 1981. As a CPA with an LCAM license in the state of Florida, Debra was an ambitious and passionate businesswoman known for her incredible knowledge of numbers, assertiveness, perseverance, and acute attention to detail. Debra extended her skills and experience by generously and graciously providing sound financial advice to family and friends, and even despite the tragic news of cancer, she completed her last tax season from her hospital bed. She was truly dependable in every sense of the word.

Known for her perfect golf swing, powerful tennis serve, impeccable fashion sense, and love for travel, her true passion was at home with her family and friends. Debra was an incredibly talented cook, who she'd always credit to her late Grandmother, and expressed her love for others through opening her home to share holidays, sporting events, birthdays, or just random evenings over a meal – all meticulously prepared with such thought and love. Her greatest love and accomplishment in life was her only child- her daughter, Mackenzie.

Her loving, generous, and determined spirit is carried on by her daughter, Mackenzie Ross of Delray Beach, her loving companion Gregory Tyner of Delray Beach, her parents Rose Moore of Delray Beach and John Moore of Coventry, Rhode Island, as well as many extended family and dear friends who were touched by her life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 13, 2015 11:00AM at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home 745 NE 6th Avenue (N. Federal Hwy.) Delray Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to TrustBridge Hospice of Palm Beach County.
