Obituary

Dennis C. Coyle, 71, of Davie, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025. Born on February 24, 1954, in North Miami, Florida, Dennis lived a life marked by generosity, passion, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

Dennis is predeceased by his parents Charles J. Coyle and Marian R. Coyle; sisters Maureen Davis and Charleen Delgado; brother James W. Coyle. Dennis is survived by Linda, his beloved wife of 46 years; his daughter Julia; sons Charles (Crystal) and Timothy (Jacqueline); his devoted grandchildren Carlie and Dominic; sisters Eileen Amoroso, Patricia Rapp and Kathleen Ruby. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend—known to many as the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back.

A man of deep faith, Dennis was a long-standing parishioner at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Davie. His Catholic values were evident in every aspect of his life and inspired him to live with compassion and purpose. He believed strongly in paying it forward and found joy in helping others whenever he could.

Dennis had a lifelong passion for racing and was once a stock car figure-8 racer himself. His love for engines extended beyond the track—he enjoyed building them and often lent his expertise to help others do the same. To many in the racing community and beyond, he was not only a mentor but also a trusted friend.

One of Dennis's proudest accomplishments was building his custom fire truck—a larger-than-life creation he named Wheelie Magic the 'Lil John.' This "show on wheels" wasn't just an impressive feat of engineering; it was a charitable tribute with heart. Through the American Rescue Party 343—a name honoring the 343 fallen NYC firefighters who perished during the September 11th attacks—Dennis used this truck to bring joy to sick and disabled children by granting wishes and creating unforgettable experiences. It stood as a symbol of hope and remembrance, much like Dennis himself.

When he wasn't working under the hood or giving back to others, Dennis cherished spending time with his family. He loved watching football and racing with those closest to him. His presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering.

Dennis Coyle will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched—with kindness that never asked for recognition but left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and continue to inspire acts of generosity for years to come.
