Don Baldwin, 83, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 4, 2011. He was originally from Double Springs, Alabama and loved his "Sweet Home, Alabama". Don and his wife, Joyce, who was taken home last Christmas, had lived in Boynton Beach for 50 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He taught high school physical education, but his passion was coaching football. He was the end coach at Seacrest High School and continued coaching when it became Atlantic High School for 30 years. "Coach" will be remembered by many of his players for the positive impact he had on their lives. We will miss him dearly, but know that he was taken home to be reunited with his precious wife of 60 years. They are now holding hands once again in the presence of our Heavenly Father. We thank God for each day that we had him in our lives. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Baldwin Banting of Lantana; two grandchildren, Christie Banting Goodwin of Atlantis, John Banting of Jupiter; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan Goodwin and Dylan Goodwin. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the LORNE & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 745 N.E. 6th Ave. (North Federal Hwy.), Delray Beach. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Franklin, KY.
