Donald Joseph "Joe" Oliver, 50, of Delray Beach, FL and formally of California passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2014.  Joe is survived by wife, Elaine Hayes Oliver; mother, Marie Farley; sister, Sheila Oliver; daughter, Shawna Justine Oliver; grandchildren, Peyton and Addison Smith; beloved auntie, Dorothy Christensen and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Joseph Oliver.  Joe served six years in the US Army as a Ranger.  A true patriot, he believed his country and its freedoms were worth fighting for.  Joe was employed in various fields before finding his current employment as a Safety Coordinator for Eagle Transport, a position that that gave him great satisfaction and one he accomplished with integrity and pride.  Joe will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, May 9 ^th , 2014 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home (745 NE 6 ^th Ave., Delray Beach, FL 33483) with a Memorial Service at 7:00PM.  Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Vets (DAV). DAV website
