Dorothy Parisi Runkel, 94, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018.
Dorothy received her Master's Degree in business marketing from NYU. She worked for Doyle Dane Bernbach Advertising Agency in New York City. Before retiring she earned the title Senior Vice President, General Manager and was a respected member of the board. After retirement Dorothy moved to Boynton Beach, FL and lived in Quail Ridge Country Club where she co-founded the Ladies "Bic" tennis league. Along with her husband Fred, they owned a Christmas tree farm estate in Pauling, NY and would donate the trees to the less fortunate. In 1970-1971 she received the Outstanding Community Service Award from the United Fund of the Greater New York. Dorothy received the 2010 George Sparling Center Court Award at Quail Ridge.
She enjoyed travel, tennis, golf, croquet, entertaining, dressing up for all the holidays (especially Halloween), bike riding and walking their miniature poodle Atrois.
Dorothy is predeceased by the love of her life of 32 years, Fred Runkel who died in 2004. She is survived and mourned by many loving and devoted friends.
Dorothy will be laid to rest with her husband at the Palm Beach Memorial Park.
