Edna Louise Allen, (Mrs. Paul H. Allen), passed away peacefully at Abbey Delray South on November 12th, 2019 just before her 100th birthday.  When "Eddie" graduated from Connecticut College, New London, CT, class of 1942; she married Paul Allen, the love of her life.  They spent 73 happy years together, raising two children, Janet and Bill, in Scarsdale, New York.  Eddie and Paul loved traditional jazz and dancing to swing bands, when not beaching at Shenorock Shore Club in Rye.  When they retired to Delray Beach they carried on their love of music and the beach between the Jazz Preservation Society and Delray Beach Club.  Eddie adored flowers in her home and the Hibiscus Society, bridge whenever, and travel wherever!  Best of all, she loved spending time with her granddaughter, Tiffany.  She will forever be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Eddie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  She is survived by her son, William Allen; daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Michael R. Langley; and granddaughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Jago.

A Celebration of Life will be held on her 100th birthday on Sunday, December 22nd at 2:00 PM at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33483.
