Obituary

Edward Hutchinson Cook, "Poppy", 87, of Lake Worth, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2019.  Ed proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army; additionally, he served his community for 38 years as an employee of FP&L. He was a devoted friend, family member, collector of model cars, and an avid Dolphins fan. Poppy loved to share his joy of life with his mischievous pranks and funny songs. He was a kind and generous man who touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and will be sincerely missed.

He is survived by four children: Stacey Interlandi (Mark), Tracey Cook (Mark), Diane Cook, Robert Cook (Lillie), seven grandchildren: Cheryl, Heather, Jenny, Katie, Kristen, Ashley, Christopher, 9 great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog Missy. Ed was preceded in death by Judith, his wife of 52 years, as well as his great-grandson Andretti.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, 11:30am at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 N.E. 6 th Ave. Delray Beach, FL. 33483 (North Federal Highway).  Burial with military honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL, Lane 5.
