Elaine C. Simmons (Sunny) passed to our Lord on April 18, 2015.
Born on September 9, 1927 in Aurora, IL, to Michael and Stella Smith, she was the eldest of five children. She graduated from Oswego High School in 1945. Sunny married 1Sgt Ward L Simmons on April 27, 1952. Sunny is survived by her 6 children: Lora Knight (Keith), Sandra Dummitt (Randy), Patricia Farrugia (Joe), David Simmons (Marsha), Timothy Simmons (Shona), Karina Simmons-Bolling (Dean). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Patricia Fahlmark.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 15700 S. Military Trail, Delray Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County 5300 East Ave. West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
