Elaine (Ellie) Muriel Stroker, passed away peacefully May 11, 2025.  Born September 26, 1929 in Chicago Illinois and lived her childhood days in Forest Park, Illinois. She attended DePauw University and graduated from Rockford College with a BA in teaching. Ellie lived in Rockford, Illinois for many years until retiring to Vero Beach, FL then to Boynton Beach, FL.  After her beloved husband Richard passed away in 2022, she moved to Tennessee where she lived her last 3 years.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Susan Roche of New Hampshire and Sharon Manning of Tennessee. 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her mother, Elmira and her father, Edward Braun; her sister Kay Herzog and her loving husband of 72 years, Richard Carl Stroker.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 (which would have been her 96th birthday) at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33483.  The family will be greeting friends from 9:45 AM until the service begins at 10:45 AM.  Urn burial for family only will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33467 at 12:30 PM in Lane 1.
