Eleanor Marie Sheehan, of Boynton Beach passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. She was known as Ellie by her friends and Grammy by her many grandkids. Ellie was born on February 28, 1930 in Boston, MA and attended Whitman High School; she is a graduate of Chamberlin School of Design, Boston, MA. She worked at Tollhouse in Whitman, MA, was one of the first Stewardesses for American Airlines, and she held a Florida Real Estate License. Ellie enjoyed her family the most and was happiest being a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents Beatrice A (Barclay) and Arthur L Shea. She was the third of four children: Phyllis E, Arthur D "Buddy", Louise (McCarthy) Shea. Married to the love of her life John L "Jack" Sheehan for 54 years who preceded her in death on April 29th, 2007. She is survived by her sister Louise McCarthy; her six children and their spouses: Glenn (Linda) Sheehan, Paula (John) Desmond, Linda (Brad) Hornor, Marybeth Sheehan and her fiancé Steve Wolf, John (Prudi) Sheehan and Michelle (Danny) Litton. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: TJ (Debora), Alan and Joe Sheehan; Patrick, Michael and Tim Desmond; Laura (Steve) Farley, Dylan and Luke Hornor; Kyle Simms; Danny and Natalie Litton; John and Bailee Sheehan; 1 great grandchild Tyler Jack Sheehan along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Ellie loved life and her blue eyes would sparkle to all she greeted with her famous smile. She enjoyed singing old Irish songs, dancing with loved ones, and traveling the world. She was an avid golfer, loved to bake, and stayed current with all events. Ellie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all the souls she touched.
