Obituary

Eleanor P. Vreeland of Boynton Beach, FL peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.  She was born March 21, 1930 in New York, NY and became a part time resident of Florida in 1996.  Later on, she moved to Florida full time.  Eleanor was an international executive, filling the roles of Chairman of Katherine Gibbs Schools, President of Berkeley International, Vice President of Macmillan Inc and owned and operated a business college in the United Kingdom.  She was an avid traveler and ventured all around the world for both business and leisure.  Eleanor was a public speaker and has appeared before congress relating to career education institutions.  Dr. Vreeland served on the Board of Directors of the Art Institute of Florida & New York City and served as a member of the National Advisory Committee for Institutional Quality and Integrity.  After retirement, Eleanor enjoyed volunteering including serving as Treasurer of the Board of the Bethesda Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann (Robert John) Herbert; grandchildren, Joseph William (Veronica) Herbert and Christine Marie Herbert; great-grandchildren, Arianna Marie Herbert and Jacob Alexander Herbert.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM with a 7:00PM Scripture Service.  Burial will be held on a later date at St. John Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.
