Obituary

Elizabeth Pusateri died Saturday, the 1st of September 2012, at her Delray home in the arms of her beloved husband, Dana, with her daughter Darnelle by her side. Ellie fiercely battled cancer for 18 months to stay with the family she loved and who loved her.
Ellie was born January 2, 1951 in Coco Solo, Panama, the daughter of Robert Jewel Blevins and Carmen Pinto Blevins. She grew up with 5 brothers, Ron, John, Bob, Bill and Jeff. When she finished high school, Ellie moved to the United States. In 1973, she met and fell in love with her soul mate, Dana Pusateri, during Spring Break in Ft. Lauderdale. They were married two years later on May 24, 1975. Ellie raised a son and daughter, Darren and Darnelle, both married with children of their own. Darren lives in Colorado with his wife Kristina and Ellie's two grandchildren, Remy and Nico. Darnelle lives in Delray with her husband, Tyler Ross Quinn, also from Panama, and Ellie's grandson, Jagger Cole Quinn. Ellie also leaves behind her grandniece, Anika Blevins.
Ellie had two passions, her family and her dogs. She bred and showed sporting dogs, successfully competing in dog shows worldwide. In February 2004, her German Wirehair, Champion Drakkar's She's All That (Lannie), took second place in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City.
Although gone far too soon, Ellie leaves behind a beautiful legacy in the family she created. Ellie's vivacious and feisty spirit will continue to engage those she loved. She is held in their hearts.
