Elizabeth (Liz) Rooney, 88, of Boynton Beach and formerly Brownsville, Pennsylvania left us to join her beloved Chuck on February 25, 2025.

Liz was an accomplished seamstress, making many of her daughters' clothes as children.  She was a knowledgeable bookkeeper.  In retirement she enjoyed walking and reading.  She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach.  Elizabeth was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend.

Liz was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years Charles (Chuck) Rooney, her parents James and Catherine Breen and siblings Catherine, Eddie, Mary, Sara Ann, Tommy, Bobby, Joe, and Francis. Also, her stepdaughter Regina Rooney Burlew.

She is survived by her son, Henry (Cindy) Hoyman, daughters, Heidi (Jim) Stanton and Holli (Mark) Brisson. Grandchildren Jeffrey (Nicole) Stanton, Allison (Jason) Sjaardema, Radford (Lauren) Parker, William (Shelby) Hoyman and Rusty Hoyman. Also, six great-grandchildren with another one on the way.  She is also survived by her baby brother, James Francis Breen (Jimmy).

A service will be held at The South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449 on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 at 1:00pm in Lane 3.  Please arrive 15 minutes early.  No black clothing please.  Wear your happiest colors.  Mom will love that!
