June 2, 1957 – November 14, 2024
Emanuel Da Costa Mota 67, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024. Born on June 2, 1957 in São José, São Miguel, Azores Portugal, Emanuel was the beloved son of the late Humberto F. Mota and Maria G. Mota.
Emanuel is survived by his wife, Idelza Mota, and his children from his first marriage: Kevin Chaves Mota, Tracy Chaves Correia and her husband Nelson Correia, Jason Chaves Mota and 3 grandchildren.
He also had children from his second marriage to Idelza Mota: Jonathan Mota and Priscilla Mota.
His siblings: Jose Mota and his wife Maria Fatima Mota, Maria Grace Correia and her husband Eduardo Correia, John Mota and his wife Fatima Mota. He was predeceased by his sister Lucey Bleau and husband George Bleau.
In addition, Emanuel will be deeply missed by his many brothers in law, sisters in law, godchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who all held a special place in his heart.
Emanuel was born in Portugal where he lived until he was 10 years of age but then moved to the United States of America where he would then grow up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He would later move to South Florida where he lived about 33 years until he went on to be with the Lord.
Emanuel was also known for his strong love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was never shy to share the Gospel with those around him. His infectious bubbly personality made him someone that would always stand out in the memories of people, making him a very special person in the eyes of many. His kindness and willingness to give to those who were in need was admired by all. His excellent work ethic and ability to be the best provider he could possibly be for his family was seen and admired by his family and all those around him. But what stood out the most about Emanuel was the size of his heart, he always was known for the love that he would show to others. If there was something that he would want to be known for on this earth it would be his love for God; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
Emanuel or Manny as most people knew him by will surely be missed by those who love him and surely will never be forgotten.
