Erich A. Schmidt, 80, of Delray Beach, passed away on November 30, 2017. Erich was a career teacher starting his career in Hanover Park High School in New Jersey heading the Industrial Arts program.


In 1981 he moved to South Florida and continued his love of education by way of teaching at several alternative schools and centers for people with disabilities.


He is survived by his son, Christopher Schmidt, daughter-in-law Sumali Schmidt, granddaughters Priya and Gabrielle of Bernardsville, New Jersey and his son Ian Schmidt of Boynton Beach.


A visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM with a 11:00AM scripture service at LORNE & SONS FUNERAL HOME 745 NE 6th Ave. (North Federal Hwy.) Delray Beach.
