Erika von Eitzen passed away peacefully at her home in Delray Beach, Florida on April 17, 2021, with her family by her side.

Erika was born July 1, 1934, in Flensburg, Germany. As a young adult, she moved to Hamburg, Germany and worked as a hostess on the Trans Europe Express, an international first-class railway service in western and central Europe at the time. She enjoyed her career for many years traveling all over Europe.

In 1963, she married Karl von Eitzen and spent the next 52 years by his side until his death in 2015. After retiring in 1990, Erika and Karl moved from Flensburg Germany to Delray Beach, Florida where they had maintained a vacation home for many years. Erika enjoyed the Florida lifestyle, especially the beach and golf course. She also enjoyed traveling to Europe in the summers, especially northern Germany and Denmark.

Erika is survived by her daughter, Andrea von Eitzen of Delray Beach and several nieces and nephews. A special and heartfelt thank you to the team at Trustbridge Hospice for their supportive companionship during her final days.

Erika was an amazing enduring fun friendly positive spirit. She will be missed.
