Eugene Manuel Raneri, 74, of Delray Beach FL., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Trustbridge Hospice in Delray Beach, Florida, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Eugene was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his husband of 40 years and love of his life, Jose Rivera-Raneri, his sister Diane King, his brother and sister in-law Antonio and Marlene, his nieces Alex, Nicole and Marisa, his nephew Anthony, his great nieces and nephews, his beloved cousin Nicholas and husband David, lifelong friend James Casazza along with countless other family and friends who loved and cherished Eugene.

Eugene grew up in Williamsburg NY and was a purchasing agent in the New York fashion industry for many years, a job he affectionately referred to as "the Rag Business" and operated with a heavy pen.

You could not have a conversation with Eugene without getting at least one of his favorite lines, two of which were "doll, it is what it is" and the favorite of many "this too shall pass."

Eugene was taken from us too soon, but hopefully we will find solace in his words and in his memories.

A viewing will be held at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33484 on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 1:00PM - 3:00PM with a 2:30PM service with Military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Eugene's name to SAGE .
