Evelyn Collins Daley, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Delray Beach on
September 22, 2015. She was born on October 4, 1923 in New Jersey and was the loving
daughter of Irene and Andrew Collins. She graduated from St. Benedictine Academy and
The Katherine Gibbs School in NYC. She was an Executive Assistant at the Standard Oil
Company in Manhattan where she met her husband Dr. John Maher Daley and married in
1955.
They raised their family in Bronxville, NY and retired to Delray Beach in 1984. She is
survived by her children Joanne and Frank O'Connor of Yonkers, NY, Kathleen and
James Bochicchio of Delray Beach, Grandson Francis Daley O'Connor and
Granddaughter Alexandra Townsend, Sister-in-law Roberta Dubuque and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Our Mother was our light and love, full of grace and strong with faith.
She is now with our loving Father. We are so blessed to have had them in our lives.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 17, 2015 10:00 AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach.
Interment services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015, 11:00 AM, Lane 5 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road (441), Lake Worth, FL 33449.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Florida Fishing Academy, an organization to help at risk kids, 7067 Peninsula Ct., Lake Worth, Florida 33467.
