Felice Priest Ledbetter went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 20, 2013.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Ledbetter, her daughter
Monteal James Johnson, 3 grandsons George Johnson (Sebastian), Tyler (& Kit)
Johnson (Texas), and Christian Johnson, 4 darling great grandchildren,
Marie, Wesley, Allison & Hayden Johnson, a niece Sheri Priest Rock (Deland),
a dear cousin Pamela Priest Tubbs (Stuart), a cousin (like a sister) Dorothy
Baker, and many other cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie D. Priest and Thelma Howell Priest, and her two brothers O. D. Priest, Jr. and William P.
Priest.
Felice was born in Delray Beach on September 5, 1925 and graduated from
Delray High School in 1942. She had the privilege of growing up in Delray
when it had less than 5,000 population. Her fathers' family arrived in Delray
in 1908. She lived her strong Christian beliefs, was a charter member of
Lakeview Baptist Church, and a successful real estate broker.
Felice had a loving disposition, always a kind word for everyone and a smile
in spite of her pain and being in a wheelchair her last two years. God made
only one like her. She will be sorely missed by many who loved her.
Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 6PM to 8PM at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave (N Fed Hwy), Delray Beach. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 10AM at Lakeview Baptist Church, 2599 N. Swinton Ave. Delray Beach with interment to follow at the Delray Beach Cemetery.
