Obituary

Florence Langlois, 87, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on the 14th of June in her home after a long struggle with cancer.  She was a woman defined by family and faith.

Florence was born on May 31, 1932 in Springfield, Massachusetts to William Everett Bourke and Irene (McCarthy) Bourke.  After graduating from Providence Hospital School of Nursing she proudly served the institution and its patients with compassion and dedication.

She married the love of her life, Raymond Langlois of Holyoke, Massachusetts in 1955.

A devout Catholic, she was a member of the Third Order Dominican Laity.

Despite profound physical challenges that overshadowed the last four decades of her life, she consistently demonstrated boundless energy and an abundance of love for those around her.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Lynn L. Langlois of North Reading Massachusetts, Lori A. Batlle, son in law Mauricio Batlle, her grandchildren Jonathan Batlle and Sela Batlle of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, brothers Ralph and Leo Bourke, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  She is predeceased by her husband Raymond and her siblings Everett, Earnest, William Bourke and Rita Maruca.

Florence's funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Florida on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at 11:00am. A graveside ceremony will take place at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield, Massachusetts on July 1st at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Third Order of St. Dominic, Mother of God Chapter, care of Miss Irene DiCiocco, 45 Clayton Drive, West Springfield, MA, 01089.

Florence will be remembered for her loving and caring nature, strong convictions, powerful faith and infectious laugh.
