Del Casino (nee Ruggieri), Frances Moderna, age 95, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on October 24, 2016.  Mrs. Del Casino was born on January 3, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York to James and Vincenza Ruggieri (nee Pompo).  She came to this area in 1995 from Manhattan, New York, with her husband, Anthony.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a talented homemaker and lover of the arts and learning.  Strong, sweet and stylish, her generous spirit and compassion for others earned her the love and respect of others.

Frances is survived by her two daughters, Linda Hanna (and son-in-law Nagy) of Bethesda, MD, and Jeanne Del Casino of New York, NY; one son, Joseph Del Casino of Delray Beach, FL; one grandson, James Hanna and wife Zephyr; two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Maxine Hanna; two sisters, Alda Fiordaliso and brother-in-law Michael, of Delray Beach, FL and Catherine Wolf of St Louis, MO.  She is predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Del Casino.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 9:15AM at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 15700 S. Military Trail, Delray Beach.  Burial will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery at 11:00AM in Lane 5.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the donor's favorite charity in her memory.
