Woman. Wife. Mother. Daughter. Sister. Teacher. Writer. Artist. These are just a few of the words that embody the beautiful Frances Acesta Scandariato: a fierce and adventurous soul who touched the hearts of so many around her and brought a smile to all of our faces (and oftentimes a laugh). Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Frances knew she had the world at her fingertips. After marrying the love of her life, Philip J. Scandariato, the real adventure began. Giving life to six beautiful children. Raising them to be empathetic, unique, neighborly and thoughtful human beings. Traveling the world with her soulmate. Taking in the world's most famous sights. Licking a stracciatella Gelato cone on an avenue in Lake Como, Italy. The world was hers. Bold. Daring. Creative. Strong. Forever young. Frances, known by many as Fran, Franny, mom, or grandma, even wrote a memoir in 2012 to capture all of the moments in her marvelous life. It is safe to say that those 112 pages simply would not be enough to portray the vibrant & meaningful life that Fran lived. Her energetic spirit and fearless determination allowed her to accomplish more than the average human: a teaching degree, a master's in education, a book, and countless paintings. Doing all in the spirit of enthusiasm and strength. Her journey is one to be admired, cherished, and remembered for days to come. As she would say at the end of every conversation, and as she is saying to all of us right now, "And the adventure continues…"

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with an 11:30am funeral service at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483.  Burial will take place at Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
