Gloria Gress Dent, 90, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2015 in Boynton Beach, Florida.

Gloria was born on July 22, 1924 in Buffalo, New York to Howard Gress and Anna Olson.  She graduated from Bennett High School and the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts.  She resided in Lewiston, New York until 1982, and then Delray Beach, Florida.

A loving mother to her children and wife to her husband, Gloria was also a dedicated volunteer throughout her life and served on the boards of The Harry M Dent Family Foundation, The Pythonga Fish and Game Club, and the Ladies Auxiliary Board of Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.  She was an outdoors enthusiast, and an avid sailor, golfer and tennis player.  Gloria was an active member of St Paul's Episcopal Church, in both Lewiston and Delray Beach.  She was a member of the Gulf Stream Bath and Tennis Club, The Little Club, St Andrews Club in Florida, Niagara Falls Country Club, The Tattler, Garret Club in Western New York and the Pythonga Fish and Game Club in Quebec, Canada.

Gloria is survived by her children, Heidi Dent, Georgia Dent, Harry M Dent III, and Peter Dent; and her sister Phyllis Flynn, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Harry M Dent, Jr. who died on April 20, 1985.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6 ^th Avenue, Delray Beach.
