Gloria De
Valladares
June 26, 1932 – January 27, 2024
Gloria De Valladares, of Boynton Beach, passed away at home on January 27, 2024, at the age of 91. She was a beautiful woman with a luminous spirit, and a smile and laughter that always filled people's hearts.
She leaves behind a loving family: daughter, Gloria Valladares of Boynton Beach; daughter, Manola Kozar of Delray Beach; son, Manny Valladares, and daughter-in-law, Ellen Valladares, of Weston; and daughter, Conchita Valladares of Lighthouse Point; grandchildren, James, Gabriel, Michael, Keyla and Kimberly; nieces, Ana Maria, Marina, and Rosanna; and nephew, Julio.
Gloria was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, the fourth child to loving parents, and her upbringing shaped her into the strong woman that she was. She married the love of her life, Manuel Valladares, MD, in 1953. They raised four children and were together for 25 years, until her husband's untimely death. Gloria moved to South Florida after her husband's passing.
She loved her mid-life career in retail sales, working for over 30 years at Burdines, later Macy's, and was a top Sales Employee of the Month many times over for the Tommy Hilfiger men's department at the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton. She was beloved by her regular customers, who personally sought her out for assistance, as well as by her co-workers.
She will be deeply missed but her spirit will continue to live on in those who loved her.
