Harlis L. Shannon, 87, of Greenbrier, AR and formerly of Delray Beach, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2015. He was born March 16, 1927 in Mars, PA to the late William Leslie Shannon and Florence Cashdollar Shannon. Harlis was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Lee Shannon and one sister, Evelyn Shannon.

Harlis was a long time member of the Church of the Nazarene and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a television business owner and later owned several rental properties. He enjoyed flying, traveling in his RV, riding his Harley, and playing gospel music. Harlis was a loving father and grandfather, who was always sharing his faith with others, especially with those who were less fortunate.

Harlis is survived by his daughter, Debbie Lee Berkner (Randy) of Greenbrier, son, Douglas Leslie Shannon (Phyllis) of Boynton Beach, FL, and grandchildren, David Andrew Berkner and Stephen Leslie Shannon.

Cryptside services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015, 10:00 AM at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum, 1611 South Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Arkansas District of the Church of The Nazarene, P.O. Box 2129, Conway, AR 72033 or to Arkansas Hospice, 2200 Fort Roots Drive, Little Rock, AR 72114.
