Herbert S. Kishbaugh passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018 in Delray Beach, Florida at the age of 94. Mr. Kishbaugh was born July 10, 1923 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania to Lynn and Josephine Kishbaugh.
He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1942. Due to health issues his senior year of high school he was unable to join the military. Wanting to help in the war effort he moved to Buffalo, New York and worked for Bell Aircraft. In 1944 he enrolled at the University of Tennessee and earned a B.S. in Business Administration in 1947.
Herb had a long and successful career in sales and executive management, becoming Vice President of Sales with Allied Chemical in New York/New Jersey. He was a Group Vice President for Ball Corp. and President of Ball Metal Container in Muncie, Indiana and Lakewood, Colorado. He also held the positions of Group Vice President for DeLaval Separator Co. and President and CEO of Schatz Federal Bearing Co., both in Poughkeepsie, New York.
In the last 16 years of his business career, he became involved in the executive search business, initially with Haley Associates in New York as Senior Vice President before establishing his own firm, Kishbaugh Associates International in Andover, Massachusetts. He retired in 1996.
In 1953 he met Joan Lettis of Cooperstown, New York. On September 12, 1953 they married and had three children. They were married 46 years until her death in 1999. In 2001 he met and married Ann Garthwaite. They were married 15 years until her death in 2016.
Herb is survived by his loving children, Lynn Newman (Paul) of Broomfield, Colorado, Rob Kishbaugh (Lucy) of Denver, Colorado and Cathryn MacLean (Chris) Marion of Massachusetts; six grandchildren and one great grandson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Country Club of Florida, 22 Country Rd., Village of Golf, FL 33436 on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:30AM.
