Dr. H. Peter Wintrich, a long time Delray Beach Ophthalmologist and Bethesda Memorial Hospital staff member, passed away on January 11th, 2022.

Born in New York, he was a graduate of Holy Cross College and Albany Medical School. He also studied at Harvard Medical School and the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He was an officer in the United States Navy retiring at the rank of Captain. It was during his military service that he met his wife of 58 years B.J. Wintrich, who passed away in 2018. Together they traveled the world and enjoyed many adventures.

He is survived by two sons, Daniel Moore of Weston, FL and Thomas Moore of Boynton Beach, FL, brother Paul Wintrich of Madison, CT,  three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, January 27th, 2022 at 1:30pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7/441, Lake Worth, FL, Lane 5.
