Obituary

Ima Jean Kolb, 95, of Lake Worth passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Kolb in 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Sara Lynn Wheeler, of Lake Worth, her grandson, Robert Wheeler and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ima Jean was originally from Stonewall, Oklahoma.
My mother was a beautiful lady, inside and out, as well as being very talented. She learned the hula so well that she was teaching the Hawaiians. She loved the Lord and one of her favorite songs was "One Day at a Time Sweet Jesus." She taught me to strive to be better today than I was yesterday. She was always ready to help anyone in need with a smile and a sweet disposition. My mother was not only my mom but had been adopted by many friends as their mom too. She was a flower in God's bouquet.
She loved her church group at Haverhill Baptist Church where she had attended for more than 60 years. She was active in the Sonshiners and well known for her "sweet potato casserole."
My mother, Ima Jean, was a perfect example of "it's never too late to achieve your dreams." She has made many friends since "going into business for herself at 82." Her philosophy "take one day at a time, keep the Lord in everything you do and when stormy seas come, as they will, get back up..Get a plan and never give up."
Ima Jean was greatly loved by her family and friends.
Services were held at the Lakeside United Methodist Church in Lake Worth with burial at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in West Palm Beach.
