Irene Marie Vought, loving mother, sister, and friend, and resident of Delray Beach, Fl., passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Irene was predeceased by her husband John F Vought in 2013, her sons Toby D. Vought in 2019, and Mark S. Vought in 2020. She is survived by her children; John C Vought, Gainesville, Ga., Timothy R Vought, Delray Beach, Fl., Vicki Vought-Pouncey, Boone, NC., Quentin G Vought, Delray Beach, Fl., Kenneth J Vought, Delray Beach, Fl., Paul T Vought, Boca Raton, Fl., Ralph J Vought, Jacksonville, Fl., Laura Vought- Rawson, Spartanburg, SC., Leo R Vought, Pembroke Pines, Fl., Brothers Michael and Denny, Sisters JoAnne, Julie, and Margaret, and many grandchildren.

Irene was born in Miami, Fl., on May 16, 1934 to Leo and Helena Gormican. She served in the US Navy where she met her husband, John.

Irene, a member of the Catholic Church, was our rock, our counselor, our shoulder to cry on, and our consoler, and will be sorely missed.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, September 25th, 2021, at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Catholic Church in west Delray.
